I鈥檝e been rescuing/raising dachshunds for 20 years!馃グDon鈥檛 try to implement all the changes at once when you bring a new dachshund puppy home. They鈥檙e typically only 8/9 wks old like a newborn baby they need to feel safe and secure above anything else. I recommend letting a young dachshund puppy sleep close to you the first few days/weeks as they adjust to a completely new life. Or if you have other dogs welcoming of a new pup they might feel comfortable with them as well. Just don鈥檛 force them
