Microsoft has patched a BitLocker recovery bug, but the fix is exclusive to Windows 11 version 25H2, leaving Windows 10 users in the lurch.

Microsoft has not been able to resolve a new issue related to BitLocker encryption reporting on Intune on Windows 11 and Windows 10 enterprise PCs. Thankfully, the company has issued a workaround.

To fix the “Cannot install Windows, BitLocker Drive Encryption is enabled on selected partition” error, suspend BitLocker via Settings or Control Panel, or use your recovery key to unlock the drive.
